Lots of stories to come from TED, but first up is an amazing singer who I hadn't come across before. A mix of Jason Mraz, Stevie Wonder, Des'ree and Dave Matthews, with a bit of Herbie Hancock at the end (worth waiting for: it's about 2 minutes  in). And then throw in the fact that he's blind. Astonishing. The album is called State Of Mind and is well worth getting. It's on iTunes and here on Amazon.

three words for the day

Interesting piece in the Proms guide by Orlando Gough: amo, amas, amat....amateur. It's not that you're rubbish at it, it's that you do it because you love it. The Shout project at the Proms looks fun...but we'll be in Canada by then.
